Wrestling Starts Season at Hickory Invitational

The McDowell wrestling team began its 2025-26 slate at the Hickory Invitational Wrestling Tournament at Hickory High School Friday and Saturday, December 5-6.
The Trojans placed 18th out of 31 teams(Opens in a new window) in a competitive field.
Graeson Harris and Mareahn Moss both earned 7th-place finishes in their weight classes with 4-2 records. Kameron McFarland, Shawn Beason, Mekhi Thigpen, and Sam Romanski each earned their first varsity victories in the competition.
The Trojans host Union City Monday, December 8.
