Competitive Cheer Wins PA State Championship and UCA Allegheny Regional

The McDowell Coed Competitive cheerleading team had a great weekend November 15-16 when it came out on top of its competitive divisions at both the Pennsylvania State Cheerleading Championships held at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the UCA Allegheny Regional in downtown Pittsburgh.

The Trojans Coed Comp and Game Day teams both topped their divisions to win at IUP on Saturday, Nov. 14.

At the UCA Allegheny Regional, the Trojans turned in scores of 82 (Coed) and 81.2 (Coed Game Day) to win the large division categories. Those scores were also the highest of the competition, earning the title of Grand Champions for the competition.

McDowell also qualified for UCA Nationals with their regional performance.
